Top Tips To Get Your Feet Sandal-Ready

Top Tips To Get Your Feet Sandal-Ready

By Mark O'Dwyer

Summer is on the way which means it's time to get your feet ready for your sandals and holiday flip flops.

Nobody wants dry, coarse feet from the harsh winter season when stepping into summer!

You want your feet to look as beautiful as the shoes you're wearing.

Here are some tips on how to get your feet smooth and ready for those summer shoes.

Soak your feet

To start off your journey to perfect summer feet it's time for a deep clean in a basin of warm water.

Add a few drops of tea tree oil to your water and rub your feet gently with a cloth and some soap.

Don't forget to clean in between your toes! This is where dirt and dry skin builds up the most so be sure to clear as much of it as you can.

Your feet will soon be sparkling and feeling fresh in no time at all.

Treat your feet to a soak a couple of times a week over the summer months. It'll keep your feet feeling revitalised.

Exfoliate your feet

Exfoliation is an important part of getting your feet ready for your summer shoes.

Ridding your skin of any dry patches from the cold and frosty winter seasons can take a lot of time and effort but it'll be worth it in the end!

You can use a pumice stone, foot scrub or even some exfoliating cream to get your feet feeling smooth.

Buff away hard skin

Nobody wants hard skin on their feet during the summer. You want your feet to feel luxurious and soft to the touch.

You can buff away patches of hard skin with a few different types of products and your feet will thank you for it.

Getting those beautifully soft feet is a must-do before stepping into your new pair of sandals or summer shoes.

Get into a moisturising routine

The skin on our feet is really thick and it can be up to ten times thicker than any skin on the rest of our bodies.

Because of how thick the skin is it needs to be moisturised a lot more often.

To get your feet feeling as smooth as possible invest in a rich foot cream to give your feet the pampering they deserve.

Try to moisturise your feet after every shower or before you go to sleep.

Look after your cuticles

It's really important to keep your cuticles in check over the summer months.

Apply a cuticle remover every two or three weeks and push back your cuticles. You can then trim any hanging skin with cuticle clippers.

This will have your feet looking absolutely perfect for summer.
